Location

Night time.Lighting
It was a dark, clear night. I tried to keep the nearby lights out of my lens' view to reduce the effects of lens glare.Equipment
This Eiffel Tower photo was shot with a Canon G11, no flash, no tripod.Inspiration
I travel to Paris frequently and I was looking for a different angle to capture the beauty and uniqueness of this beautiful landmark.Editing
I try not to manipulate my photos much however, I use Corel PaintShop Pro to sharpen photos as needed. This photo was cropped and sharpened. In my camera bag
Over the years I have progressed through a Canon G11, Canon G15, Canon G1X, Sony a58 to my current camera, the Sony a65 outfitted with Sigma and Sony lenses.Feedback
I always suggest looking at the subject and its surroundings, deciding what you do not want in the original photo. Take into account lighting, reflections and motion. I tend to take several photos of a subject from different angels to ensure I capture the view I am seeking. Patience and persistence are virtues one will need to apply to photography. No matter how good today's photos are, I am always hopeful that tomorrow's photos will be better.
