Location
This photo was taken on abandoned tracks in Central WI.Time
It was late afternoon on a very cold and gloomy fall day. We had thunder storms possibly turning to snow in the forecast so I knew my window for shooting these pictures was closing in. We froze but I was happy with the days accomplishments.Lighting
All natural lightingEquipment
Canon T3i, Canon lens 55-250. Aperture f/11, ISO 400, Shutter Speed 1/200, Focal Length 55/1Inspiration
This is a picture of my youngest grandson who was in love with Thomas the Train and railroad tracks. They grow up to fast, so I try and capture something special during each age while they are young and then make a video for them. I had several shots from this day, including some with his Thomas the Train set on the rails of the tracks, so put them together with the song I've Been Workin' on the Railroad. He was the happiest lil boy ever.Editing
I did some post editing in Lightroom to enhance the clouds. In my camera bag
My bag contains a Canon T3i (my first DLSR camera) Canon 70D and a Canon Mark IV along with six different canon lenes, tripod and speedlites. Additional equipment is brought along depending on the photo session, location, weather and ect.Feedback
I always try and have my plan in place a head of time of the specific shots I want to do along with a variety of others ideas. Arrive early to look over the location and make any necessary changes, have patience with both yourself and your client, best when everyone is relaxed and comfortable. Waiting for the right cloud cover to move in was the tricky part for this photo, but we took others while waiting.
