Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was taken in Juiz de Fora, MG, Brazil. Two days later, a strong storm hit the city causing much damage.

Time

This photograph was taken in the evening at 20:23 on December 26, 2016. It was one of several that I did.

Lighting

I do not know if that would be the case. It's a long exposure photograph. The artificial lighting was only that of the city.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D7100, with tripod, remote cable and Nikon Af-S 18-105mm F / 3.5-5.6g Ed Dx Vr. Without flash.

Inspiration

What inspires me most to make this kind of photo is the feeling of victory. When I shoot lightning bolts, I am ecstatic with the result. If the photo becomes even more beautiful, I am fulfilled. It is a great passion that I have to photograph lightning and storms.

Editing

No. I did nothing but add my signature in the photogallery and maybe reduce the size.

In my camera bag

I carry a camera that can be the Nikon D7100 with Nikon 18-105 lens, an old Pentax 45-125 lens with adapter and a Pentax 55mm lens with adapter, an SB-700 flash, batteries, remote cable, toothpaste and brush Of teeth.

Feedback

My tip is: use tripod always, remote cable if possible, be protected from the storms of have enough patience. Use low iso, long exposure and intermediate aperture. Focus on infinity. Use a wide-angle lens for large spaces and a telephoto lens for long distances.
