Location
July 2014 - The Kotel. (Western Wall in Jerusalem). My eldest grandson's Barmitzvah. Quietly & strangely peaceful, in the midst of the Protective Edge War in Israel. The architecture is breathtaking. Natural stone walls built centuries ago, withstanding the impact of another war on Israel.Time
Mid morning, just after the Barmitzvah service at the Wall. No rockets that morning. But there were sirens later in the afternoon when we had to run into the bomb shelter.Lighting
Morning sunlight, natural light, no filters.Equipment
It was 2014 - my iPhone 5. It worked well for that particular day and time in my life.Inspiration
The 2014 War. The peaceful moment in time. My family reunion. My grandson's Barmitzvah. The culture and the heart of the country I love.Editing
Nothing.In my camera bag
I normally have a Canon 1300D with a basic lens and one zoom. I can't manage to carry more than that when I travel.Feedback
Everything is worth capturing on film in Israel. From the Architecture of the Old Cities to the Deserts, recultivated with the magnificent oasis (oases) to the magnificent Masada mountain and Roman forts and ruins sitting on top, down to the Dead Sea. Just go with your heart and feel - you don't need anything else besides your camera.
