Location
I took this one at Torbiere Del Sebino: National Heritage park in the province of Brescia, Italy.Time
It was sunset, which in our time zone, in the summer, happens at around 8PMLighting
The shot has just natural light. We get some amazing sunsets over here!Equipment
I used a Canon 5D Mark II and I shot this one using a Samyang 14mm f2.8. No other equipment. I didn’t need a tripod as there was no need for a long exposureInspiration
The amazing sunset, the light, the beautiful location and I like jetties a lot!Editing
Yes, I processed the image in Lightroom first. When it comes to landscapes, I hardly ever do any compositing so what you see in the picture was all actually there. The sky was amazing as well so no need to replace it. I also processed the image in Photoshop and did mostly toning work and vignetting, as well as some dodging and burning. In my camera bag
Now I have a Canon 5D Mark III, a Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art, a Sigma 24-35mm f2 Art which I totally love, a Samyang 14mm f2.8 which I rarely use, and a Canon 135mm F2 L.Feedback
I think what makes this image special is the location and the wide angle. The sunset is actually part of the subject but everything there is kind of dreamy and so relaxing that I wanted to capture the most I could.. so a Samyang 14mm is definitely the way to go if you want to give your sunset an amazingly deep look.
