I captured this moment while going home from work. This was taken in Chicago loop while I was waiting for my water taxi that I use to get to my train station daily.Time
I remember it rained a lot that day and although I didn’t have my pro camera with me, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to capture this image so ended up using my iPhone.Lighting
Clam almost no winds (which is rear in Chicago) provided the prefect mirror like reflection and clouds helped create a natural soft box light source for me to make this image.Equipment
This was shot in my iPhone 6 handheld while I was on my keens :-)Inspiration
I have a thing for reflections and I am always looking for them after rain.Editing
Yes there was little post-processing involved and I used Adobe Ps Express on my phone. In my camera bag
Usually when I am out shooting, I use my Nikon D810 with 35-70mm and a Yashica Mat 124 with few B&W rolls that I then develop myself. Why am I still shooting film you might ask? Well, shooting digital for a while, I get sloppy and film helps me slow down and forces me to put my thinking and creative hat on before I make the shot so I am not just being trigger happy pressing the shutter in every direction possible.Feedback
The moment you hesitate and don't make the shot, is the moment you want to capture. It still happens to me while I am out shooting, I will miss the shot because I hesitated, or I was shy, or afraid but then I regret afterwards.
