Location
This photo was taken in the Mekong Delta in Southern Vietnam, just outside of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon). The Mekong is a vast maze of rivers and canals.Time
This was taken in the middle of the afternoon in May. The temperature was around 107°F and the locals still cover themselves from head to toe.Lighting
This is all natural lighting.Equipment
I used a Canon 5d miii with a Canon 16-35mm wide-angle lens.Inspiration
I wanted to show a POV-type shot so that the viewer could place themselves in the peaceful moment.Editing
I lightened the shadows a bit so that you can see the detail of the plants on the riverbed. In my camera bag
I normally carry my Canon 5d miii with 2-3 lenses, a flash, and a light-weight, compact tripod.Feedback
