Congratulations on your win! Love this photo, especially the sewing machine. My grandmother had one just like that.

Location
I took this at Blossoms at Butterworth at the Deere-Wiman House. The house where the infamous John Deere lived here in town.Time
Oh, I would say this photo was taken around 1 pm.Lighting
I had to just use their natural light, as we are not allowed to use any flash whatsoever in the mansions.Equipment
Canon Powershot SX50HSInspiration
I am fascinated by the Deere-Wiman house and the Butterworth mansion. They are filled with all kinds of bits of history and beautiful old furniture. It is like stepping back into the time of John Deere.Editing
I envisioned this in an antique type sepia, so I edited it with a draquerreo-type finish and a bit of exposure adjustment. In my camera bag
I have 4 different cameras. What camera I take depends on the situation. Normally, I carry my Canon Powershot SX50HS which has the built in zoom lens, and I also carry my Canon EOS Rebel SL1 with my 18-55 lens and my 75-300 lens. I also have an external flash, spare batteries and spare Scandisc memory cards. But I also have a Canon Rebel 35 mm film camera and a Canon Powershot SX40HS.Feedback
No advice really...I am not one to instruct others how to photograph something. As for myself, I just try to make sure the lighting is good, and that there are no distractions in the immediate area, get a good position, frame it up really well. I also rely on my imagination a lot....as in often times, I can envision what a certain something could look like before I take a photo.
