Location
I took this photo in my brothers living room. He has a nice living room with wonderful curtains and nice windows.Time
It was midday. I had the idea of a relaxed shooting with one of my favorite models. She had time, so we tried a bit of this and that.Lighting
I this shooting I wanted to find out if it is easy to accommodate my studio equipment in another room. Whether the space in a living room is sufficient, or whether I simply have to take the speed light.Equipment
Finally I only shot with a speed light on an extra tripod and shot with my Canon EOS 5D Mark III with a 24-105mm lens, 1/100 sec. and f/4,0.Inspiration
The girl is such a beauty. It is always wonderful to shoot with her, as the photos are always beautiful and interesting. And it is always an opportunity to try something with light.Editing
This image is a very quiet image. The most important thing are the eyes and the colors. Therefore, the skin must be very beautiful and flawless. So I have taken some time for the skin retouching, as always ? Then I merged some textures into the background to give the picture a greater depth and a really wonderful and warm toning. At last I made a nice vignette so that the view falls on the beautiful girl.In my camera bag
I usually have my camera (Canon EOS 5D Mark III) in my bag, two or three lenses (the 85mm, a 100mm and a 24 - 105mm), some batteries, a cloth for the lens, a replacement battery for the camera, several memory cards, the transmitter for the studio flash, handkerchiefs and a lip balm :-)Feedback
It's very important to master the basics of photography. And then for me the most important thing is the model. I not tired of repeating that :-) For these kinds of images you need ideas, meaning that you should keep on collecting ideas, maybe at Pinterest or on some other photography sites. Also, it helps, like in this case, to have a super creative model that can style herself so wonderfully. Of course, a creative stylist can be very helpful too. And then practice, practice, practice. Practicing with Models, practice with light, practice with photo editing. And have fun, with the light, with the stylings. Have fun with it. For me photography is a passion :-)
