Location
This photo was taken at a National Bird Park in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.Time
It was a lovely afternoon. The interesting thing about this photo and why is it one of my most favorite photo is because it has its own significant value to me. I remember that it was my FIRST ASSIGNMENT for my Basic Photography class. My lecturer assigned me to take a photo that have the rules of photography and my best shock, I got the best photo out of all 99 classmates.Lighting
This image was taken using 100% natural lighting and I made sure that nothing else distracted the photo so that the background looking more natural as its the habitat of the owl. The best photo lighting is actually natural lighting because when you use natural lighting, the feel of the image will convey more natural storyline of the photo.Equipment
I used my first DSLR , Nikon D80 with 50mm portrait lensInspiration
Eventhough there were thousands species of birds at the park, I remember myself saying "I'm done searching". I'll just stay here at the owl and take photos from different angle rather than looking around because once I met the owl and looking at its perfect features, I immediately fell in love and knew that it was it :)Editing
Surprisingly, this photo is the original copy WITHOUT ANY EDITING and to me its my personal achievement to get the best photo eventhough I got no skills with camera and photography. In my camera bag
My favorite camera brand is Nikon and I love taking photos with Manual setting with my 50mm portrait lensFeedback
When you know your subject, you need to just focus to it, forget about everything else in the photo, know your angle and what kind of story you want to tell in the photo, for example, I wanted to point out the beauty of the owl's features so I took a profile shot so that it can focus on the texture, pattern, shape and also emotion.
