Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the Midlands of KwaZulu Natal South Africa. At the moment we are experiencing an extreme drought and have not seen spider webs for a whole season. I woke up on this morning with an amazing sight of webs all over the garden with dew drops suspended on silk threads! What a blessing!

Time

This photo was taken as the sun was peering over the hills and catching the beads and brought them to life. Every time I look at this photo I am reminded how every drop of water is precious, unique and life giving. I do not own a tripod or even have a fancy camera and need specs to really see, so when I downloaded the photos I was blown away! I captured what I was feeling!

Lighting

Pure morning autumn sunlight!

Equipment

This photo was shot with a Fuji finepix HS25 EXR on the macro setting. No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

Due to the drought conditions we are experiencing and the feeling of being desiccation of my own body, when I saw the mist and moisture all around I could not help myself! The added bonus was the hundreds of spider webs all over the garden all with drops of water suspended in space and time.

Editing

None - I do not have an editing program.

In my camera bag

My camera and lens cleaners and of course a spare set of batteries!

Feedback

I always say to people, one needs to observe the small things in Life. It is in this we find patterns that reflect our lives and also brings a deep sense of joy.
