I would like to share this awesome experience of death, Our family kept grandma at home there was no hospital, no poking her with needles, no coma inducing drugs, this was ALL VERY natural this set up was awesome her hospital bed was next to her fire place that was constantly burning a fire the lap top was set up and playing softly through the TV all the old county music her and grandpa would listen to example "country bumpkin" all family her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was able to come and go as we pleased during the last couple weeks, there was no one to tell us only 2 at a time if there was 6 of us in there it was ok ...after she passed Friday My 2 aunts got her cleaned up put her in the fuzzy purple robe my mother had bought for her they cleaned everything up put her pictures around of her and grandchildren had fresh flowers and then called to let FAMILY know she was ready for all to come and say goodbye (before calling the corner) this was sooo much better than going to a Funeral Home, our family got to say good bye the way WE wanted to. My granddaughter Emma, was not afraid one bit as a matter of fact she got up on the bed and talked to grandma loved on her and has a wonderful conversation with my mother about death, this was all so much better and I believe this is how I want it for my parents when that time comes.

What a beautiful passing your grandmother was afforded. Not all are as courageous as you. Your story and photographs inspire others to learn more about death.
