I took this photo in downtown Nashville, Tennessee ....I believe it was close to Broadway and Fifth Street.Time
Nashville was just becoming alive with nightlife....people everywhere going in and out while exploring all the clubs.Lighting
All round me were street lights burning brightly and lights from surrounding signs on the buildings. I have to admit that it was not raining that hard....but I felt a little editing added more drama to the horse's weary look.Equipment
I used my trusty Canon EOS Rebel T5 handheld.Inspiration
I noticed the horse and buggy waiting to give tour rides of downtown Nashville. This buggy horse just grabbed my attention. He looked so tired and/or bored so I felt he deserved a photo! I also thought the black blinders against his white body made him really stand out.Editing
No, I just did editing to make the background dark with heavy rain.In my camera bag
As a beginner photographer, I only own one camera but I carry two lens--18-55 mm and a 55-250 mm. You'll find lots of filters, lens caps, manual and a small tripod. I just recently acquired a new lens from my hubby for Valentine's Day--he earned lots of brownie points for gifting me a wonderful Sigma 150-500 mm which I absolutely love! Can't carry it in my bag as it takes its own separate bag as well as my tripod and monopod take their own bags.Feedback
The best tip for taking photos in the city is to be aware of your background. One person walking through or maybe power lines can ruin your photo. I lucked up with this horse being in just the right spot.
