This is definitely one of my favorite images from Glacier NP and it was a complete nightmare to put together. It was taken just after the sun started to fade out a bit. I had seen this patch of flowers way down this slope that resided below a pretty good size snow bank. I hiked down to the area and was greeted by some pretty nasty winds; so much so that with the conditions focus stacking was nearly impossible but I think I managed to pull it off. This one is composed of 9 shots blended by hand for DOF. I hope I was able to convey some of what I felt while being there through this image. The clouds that encircled the peaks were really just unreal.

It's an unbelievable image. I feel it's been photo shopped. If that's what it takes these days, so be it! #geoff

Hey Geoff. Comments like that are a bit ridiculous. If you have a formulated critique then let's hear it. Saying that somethings 'photoshopped' just because you prefer SOOC really comes down to personal preference and has no bearing on 'what it takes these days'. You can't make an unappealing image look good by photoshopping it. If the art doesn't speak to you, it doesn't speak to you. Plain and simple. As for this image; I processed this a few years back and my style has changed a great deal since then.
