Chicago streets are aligned east-west, which means twice a year, the sun sets right in between the tall buildings. Once in March and other one in September. I took this shot during March of this year as the sun was right in between. I wanted to choose a different composition showing the full sun. There are so many photographs of Chicagohenge and Manhattanhenge showing the sunflare in the middle, But I wanted to capture keeping the full sun as my subject. I also wanted a foreground interest. So I had to patiently wait and hoped somebody would walk in right in front of me. Luck favored that day, as it happened what I hoped for. Remember, I tried to shoot this shot for the last three years and never got lucky as either it became cloudy at the last moment, or construction going on or it rained out. So, anybody viewing this one, know, Chicagohenge would be happening again next week and all Chicagoans have an opportunity to shoot the sun right in between those beautiful tall buildings. Thanks for viewing.
