Behind The Lens

Location

Thingvellir national park - Iceland

Time

Afternoon

Lighting

A winter afternoon in Iceland showing a low sun.

Equipment

Canon power shot. No additional lenses, tripod etc used.

Inspiration

On the golden circle tour on my first trip to Iceland, we pulled into Thingvellir to view the plate tectonics. A beautiful yet freezing cold walk followed which is where I came across this sunset. I had to trudge through thigh high snow to get the angles right but it was worth it. A beautiful location with the best scenery.

Editing

Sharpening and slight saturation adjustment.

In my camera bag

A Nikon or simply my IPhone. I'm a girl believer that although editing a photo can make it look great and using expensive camera's can work wonders, sometimes a simple snap taken correctly on just a phone can produce surprisingly nice photos.

Feedback

Move away from the crowds, watch your step and don't take too many photos or you will miss just looking at everything amazing to be seen in Iceland!
