Taken in the rainforest of Itatiaia National Park in Rio de janerio Brazil

The sun only appears at this opening a few days a year so a rare opportunity

Equipment

tripod, canon rebel t4i

Inspiration

Flying at 50 km an hour and 60 wing beats a second the Black Jacobin Hummingbird hovers above a flower in the Atlantic Rainforests of Brazil. Many hours of patience to capture the shot revealing the sunlight passing through the wings form a prism of rainbows.

Editing

just blacks and white levels and saturation to bring the colours of the sun out
