Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo during my walk by the lake opposite my house. My other half and I like taking photographs, we make it a routine to practice and this is one of the first times we went out together.Time
It was around 6pm. We were trying to capture the setting sun and the activity towards dawn. Many come to the lake to fish and more people like to watch them. We were no exceptional.Lighting
It was a bright day but the sun was not visible. My camera kept changing color since I had it set in auto whitebalance. Wanted the image to look exactly how I was looking at with my naked eyes , maintained the natural lighting.Equipment
I freely held my Nikon D80 and swapped lens between a 18-55mm and 55mm Nikon lenses.I did not use any flash , I wanted to capture the natural evening light and mood.Inspiration
I was inspired with the patience and perseverance each person had while they were fishing.I wanted to capture the relaxing environment , the breezy evening and calm anglers..Editing
I did a color correction by enhancing the contrast to bring out the true color...In my camera bag
Im a real ammature i dont have so much in my bag. I pack my dear Nikon D80 body , then my favourite 55mm 1.8 prime lens and last but not the least 18-55 mm lens.As new addition to my bag I now have Meiki Ring flash which I have not tried.Feedback
Be candid and maintain light.
