Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in a racing yard in Middleham , North Yorkshire, EnglandTime
Around mid dayLighting
The weather was a little grim and was very overcast which helped as there was no mid day shadows to worry aboutEquipment
I used a Nikon d3200 which is the 1st dslr I have ever owned. The lense was just a standard kit lens which doesn't get used now but it I was more than happy with it to start my new hobby withInspiration
I love horse racing and the behind the scenes pictures are my favourite. I found my son having a word with a racehorse called knocklong and couldn't resist the shot.Editing
I felt that black and white would compliment the shot and added a little vignette. In my camera bag
I have a nikkor 70-300 lense at all times whilst shooting horses as its not possible to get to close most of the time. I carry a sigma 17-70 also but it's a little dated and needs a service. Extra memory cards and battery's and that's it.Feedback
Being in the right place at the right time isnt always the possible but for this kind of photo it's just the way it is. Carry your camera everywhere possible as we all know we think many times a day...that would take a great photo! I wish I had my camera. I love capturing people unaware, natural kind of pictures, they really are the best shots.
