Wow this is beautiful. It reminds me of a perfect setting for German Expressionism!! The way the house looks distorted and the way it's edited looks incredible.

Location
This photo was taken near my previous home in Ulysses, Pennsylvania. It is the old Lawrence Crowell Estate, and has been there since the late 1800's.Time
I took this picture in the early evening, just after it was dark.Lighting
It happened to be a perfect night for capturing photos, I didn't have to adjust my camera settings much at all.Equipment
I have a Cannon Power Shot, and basically just set the live setting two notches lighter, and used black and white.Inspiration
I love this old home, and have taken pictures in all seasons and times of day. The Lawrence Crowell Estae was built in the late 1800's, and at one time a barn was next to it. It caught on fire and burnt to the ground when it was hit by lightning. After a series of fires caused by lightning, Lawrence installed weathervanes on the roof of his home in multiple spots to help attract lightning to it, rather than the roof.Editing
I "stretched" the home, to give it appeal, and added my name along with the black and white. In my camera bag
I always have my camera, no matter where I go, a lenses cleaner, and wear my hiking boots.... that is all I need, so that I can get through mud and muck, high weeds, climb, etc...to get the best shot.Feedback
If you have a spot to love, re visit when you can. Sometimes different seasons and times of day (for different positions of the sun) help capture the photo in better ways than others. Also, always have something to clean your lenses that wont scratch it.
