Location
It was taken at NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA during the training Day before the Air Show at the Beach.Time
It was during the afternoon at the end of May at around 2 PM with a little bit of cloud cover.Lighting
I wanted this picture to show the aircraft against the clouds for adding some background instead of only blue sky. The sun behind the clouds.Equipment
I use my Olympus E-510 with a 300mm and stabilize my camera with my hands.Inspiration
I follow the aircraft in my viewfinder until I was sure that it was the shot I wanted. Then push and took exactly the picture you have now. People like this picture. I have even a T-shirt of it.Editing
No post-processing for this one.In my camera bag
I have in my camera bag an Olympus OM-4T Black with a 50mm and a 400mm. That's it!Feedback
For taking this kind of picture you need to know a little bit of flying and the way pilots think because you need to anticipate what is going to happen. You need to be patient because that's with habit to take this kind of picture that you are going to become good at it. Like everything else you learn by taking more pictures and improving your style.
