Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in a little know place I used to play at as a child near Cressbrook in the Peak District here in the United Kingdom.

Time

I think I got here just after lunch time as its a bit of a scramble to get here.

Lighting

I had intended on an attempt at a HDR photograph. The light wasn't brilliant but because i wanted to make it a HDR back home this was ok.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D5100 with the kit lens 18-55mm the camera was on a very old tripod, and I used the infra red remote.

Inspiration

This place brings back so many happy memories and I wanted to try and capture how they make me feel.

Editing

Well as you can see It's a HDR attempt, the sky was really grey and horrible, I'm extremely novice in post processing and could not correct the sky no matter how I tried. Basically the 3 images I took at different exposure times I loaded up to Lightroom and let Photshop do the rest.

In my camera bag

My camera, a spare battery, tripod and this 18-55mm kit lens, I normally carry my camera with the Nikkor 70-300mm lens attached.

Feedback

I've only recently started in photography. I just tend to get out there and visit old childhood haunts or got stalking the local wildlife. The only advice anyone needs is "Just get out there and photograph what you see.
