Behind The Lens

Location

In the Paso Robles, CA area at an Animal Rescue Center

Time

late afternoon

Lighting

no, ambient light

Equipment

Canon 7d with 70-200mm lens, hand held, no flash

Inspiration

I love tigers and I was lucky enough to be able to go out in the field with her when she got to take a walk. I was sitting about 20 feet away when she turned towards me and I just held my breath and kept shooting, feeling completely thrilled.

Editing

Yes only a bit of contrast. The main thing was to edit out the chain that was attached to her (that kept me safe as well)

In my camera bag

Canon 7d, 24-70mm, 70-200mm, 85mm fixed and a 10-22mm. m Oh and a GoPro.

Feedback

Photography is so much about being in the right place at the right time which means one must take every opportunity to get out every day and shoot, shoot, shoot. And cross your fingers for that lucky shot.
