Behind The Lens
Location
This is a local wildlife area turned park in my hometown. I love the area for photography and the rare wildlife sightings.Time
This was a mid-day decision to take the kids to the park and a quick jaunt back in the house to grab the camera......it paid off as this was a great shot of my boy utilizing some negative space.Lighting
It was a slightly cloudy day that just presented great lighting.....mother nature sometimes makes it easy.Equipment
Canon 450D with an 18-135 zoom lens.Inspiration
I really liked the bridge and my son kept wandering over to it so I thought if I can capture his curiosity and get a great shot of the masonry of the bridge in some negative space it would be a good picture.Editing
None......this is exactly how it was shot.In my camera bag
450D, 100mm Macro, 8mm Fisheye and my all-purpose 18-135, with a remote shutter and an extra battery. Tripod included on most days.Feedback
The only advice I can give pertains to kids.....I have 3 and you always need something to grab their attention. This shot I did not need such a device but in almost every other instance I have. I recommend a light affixed to the tripod that dances around.....but really anything to get their attention.....I have SO MANY shot where my boys are looking at anything but the camera.
