Very nice job! I am a Photographer at Animal Kingdom, so I shoot this scene just about every day. You were up the trail on the other side of the shrine to the Yeti when you took this...my location is on the other side, in the corner by the fencing. Judging by the crowd on Everest Bridge, this had to be around Thanksgiving-Christmas time...

Thanks so much everyone!! I took this shot at the Animal Kingdom in Orlando using my iPhone 4... The mountain is the Everest expedition, which is my favorite ride.... The reflection made me stop in my tracks! Preciate the kind words :)

Great contrast with the sky, and greenery and water. Nicely composed. I love the reflections as well.

Where was this photo taken from? When I think of Everest, I think snow, a lot of snow.

I took this photo at Disneyworld's Animal Kingdom.Time
Mid afternoonLighting
Surprisingly for the time of day, the lighting was perfect for a nice reflection. With the sun slightly behind me and just enough cloud coverage to diffuse it, I knew it wasn't going to last long.Equipment
All I had with me was my Iphone, so I pulled it out and fired away. To provide stabilization, I placed it on a railing and held it tight against it.Inspiration
When I turned the corner and saw the reflection of Everest. It's my favorite ride, and I love the Nepal-like setting with a feature on mountaineering.Editing
I used photoshop (camera raw) to provide minimal effort enhancements. In my camera bag
I just bought a new camera (nikon d610) and I carry it with a wide angle lens. I always have a polarizing filter with me, and I never shoot without a tripod. I also use a remote to reduce shake. (Even during the day). I never go on a photo shoot without my iphone. I love the photos it can produce (especially the colors), but even more importantly, it's easy for me to use it as a guide for where to set up/ move my camera. Since I always shoot on a tripod, I use my iphone to walk around and shoot photos from various locations/angles. This prevents me from spending too much time finding the shot and missing the light!Feedback
Photography for me is all about the light! I have spent hours in the same spot waiting for the right light, and when it finally hits, it's brilliantly worth it! My advice is to go ahead of time and scout out the right shot. Then it's a matter of waiting for the light. Patience wins in photograohy! Also, when you have the light, stop everything to take your shot! Even if all you have is an iphone and a railing.
