Behind The Lens

Location

That was in a famous and creepy place called Sanatorio (sanatorium) Carlos Duran in Cartago - Costa Rica. The good thing was that I found this nice place outside of the abandoned building.

Time

if I remember correctly, 10:30am

Lighting

Spite of the time, it was cloudy and really helped give a good white balance.

Equipment

Camera: Sony NEX 5 Lens: 18-55mm And nothing else ;)

Inspiration

I took a lot of pictures randomly that day, when I was checking the session in my PC, I realized that this was a nice shoot so, I started the edition in A. Lightroom. It took me around 1 hour and half and the final result is this.

Editing

Sure, B/W effects, temperature, intensity etc was performed by Adobe Lightroom.

In my camera bag

I'm a rookie freelance photographer, so I do not use too much equipment in my bag, only my cam (doh) 1 lens (18-55mm my only one), extra battery and basic tripod.

Feedback

- Inspirational attitude is important, don't leave home without it, - Shoot shoot shoot, no matter how simple or dumb the shoot it is, sometimes from a simple picture you can create wonderful things. - Enjoy the time with others during the session, specially your model, he/she needs to feel confident and relaxed.
