Behind The Lens
Location
I took this somewhere in the Carpathian mountains of Romania, filled with forests and cliffs and tiny flowing rivers.Time
It was in the afternoon, but there wasn't much sun at all, just a cloudy day.Lighting
The lighting was all natural, but I used Photoshop to add a surreal atmosphere to it.Equipment
I used a Canon 7D with a 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.Inspiration
I was inspired by the stunning landscape around me, then I found this chair in the house I was staying in and thought I might try a levitation photo.Editing
I did! There was actually a human being holding the chair so that the model wouldn't fall. I also added the snow texture to create an atmosphere, and a red-green gradient. In my camera bag
I normally have my Canon 7D camera, with two lenses: 50mm f/1.8 for portraiture and a zoom lens, 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6, to be able to play with perspectives and larger frames.Feedback
Well, if they want do to a self-portrait like this, for example, do take a tripod and a friend with you, to help with the "levitation" side, hehe. It is always fun to experiment with textures in Photoshop, and the snowflakes add a bit of fantasy to the photo, so you might wanna try that, too.
