There is so much drama in this shot. The colors and the texture are unreal. Yet, its so powerful and captivating! Woof, woof!

This photo has such nice atmosphere, or feeling maybe. Love the rich color of the wood grain and the name of the small boat. Well done! :) Congrats

Location
Broadstairs, on the south east coast of EnglandTime
Just after sunrise, I think around 6am.Lighting
It was actually quite dark at this time, and the golden hour was just starting, shining a little light on the buildings in the background. Some stars were still out behind me.Equipment
This one was taken with Nikon D90, with 12-24mm sigma and circular polarizer. Because it was so dark, the camera was on a tripod.Inspiration
I was sitting on the beach from 4am, doing a time lapse of the sunrise. After the sun had come up enough, I decided to go for a walk and see what else I could get. This was what I got. Down in the seaweed, with wet feet.Editing
This was heavily post processed. It's an HDR image, and so I combined 3 images to try and get some life out of a very dark scene. Some dodging, burning, sharpening, and a little colour correction was added, and I painted the colour back into the words on the boat.In my camera bag
Now-a-days usually my Nikon d600, a speedlight, a ray-flash, Sigma 17-35mm, Nikkor 50mm 1.8. Lots of spare memory cards and batteries, and of course some cleaning gear.Feedback
Well what to say here... this particular image was finding some great foreground interest, with some nice interesting lighting and sky behind it. A tripod to keep the camera still and minimise the shake between the 3 images to be combined, especially on the long exposure.
