Location
This photo was taken in my home town which is on the shores of Lake Ontario. So many opportunities for different water-scapes that help me be creative. Never ending beauty no matter what time of day or what season !Time
I took this in the early evening when the sun was setting.Lighting
Sunlight is our natural source of light, to be used whenever possible. I do use my flash along with it, just to increase the clarity.Equipment
For this photo I used my camera Canon 60D with a stock lens...no tripod, nothing extra.Inspiration
I was inspired by the reflection and the beauty of this sunset eye-candy...had to capture the moment.Editing
Post processing was simply enhancing the beauty and color. In my camera bag
I use minimal equipment- only my Canon 60D and a 15-85mm lens. Occasionally I will bring my 150-500mm lens and tripod. I find that the less you are carrying, the quicker you are ready for that next shot.Feedback
'Simple' to me is better...I never learned the tech part of photography ie: aperture, ISO, etc. It is way too expensive to learn, complicated and takes the fun out of concentrating on the shot. I always use 'Auto' -quick, easy & very accurate. This gives me lots of time to have fun & enjoy everything that I am looking at. Later I use a 'Free' editing website to do any basic fix-ups needed. You can be basic with these free sites or be as creative as you want. I tried Photoshop and other expensive Editing Programs but found them to be frustrating and way too complicated. That's just my opinion on Photography. Do whatever you like. That's the beauty of it all !
