The photo was taken in my front yard, every spring my tree bursts into flower after it's bare winter……a free bouquet of flowers from nature….Time
To be honest it was so long ago….Lighting
The tree is on the south side of the house, the light is always diffused and it was definitely overcast from the rain….. which make the colours soft...Equipment
Just my Nikon D70 and 55-300mm lensInspiration
Spring is a very emotional reminder of a the little girl who lived next door for one year, one week, and one day, the cherry blossoms on her birthday. It is very heartbreatking. Everyday I count my blessings for my four children and send love to my neighbours…Editing
I only have Lightroom, so I balance the highlights and shadows and give a bit of contrast to lift the colours. In my camera bag
I now work in a school, as I needed to learn sign language... so my kit is compact and consists of the Nikon D70 and two lens 18-55mm and 55-300mm which I find fantastic for coverage of most situations and a great set for travelling.Feedback
Our own yards can provide us with so much to capture….being present and taking the time to observe, especially after rain The magic rain droplets provide another dimension to flowers. Simplifying the subject (not too many flowers), moving your position to create a simple background out of focus...the surprise reflections in the drops were found when editing.
