While the temperature at Sambhar Lake is slowly rising to 37 degrees Celsius, three young kids are seeking for some shade underneath one of the old train wagons. Only a short break is taken to give some comfort when the crying of one of the children disrupts the relative silence. For more then 1000 years, people have been collecting salt on this place and local inhabitants still continue this tradition. At this remote place, it is very questionable if these children will ever benefit from the educational projects by the government, to provide them with a better future.
