Behind The Lens

Location

I was on an Amish farm in eastern Ohio near Coshocton.

Time

It was during a Saturday afternoon right before dinner time.e

Lighting

Day time light, partly cloudy. No flash.

Equipment

I was using my Canon G12 as this was my first usage of a camera with DSLR type functions.

Inspiration

It's not everyday you are on one of these farms as a guest. To be a part of their everyday life. Always neat to see a new generation of kids from completely different cultures interact. You realize we are all not that different. We truly love being with family, helping others, and being a friend.

Editing

post processed in Adobe LR 4. Felt a black and white version was the better way to capture the simplistic Amish approach.

In my camera bag

I now have a Canon 7D MII, Sigma 18-35 ART, Sigma 50-100 ART

Feedback

just be in the moment and capture what draws your attention. If you are drawn to a certain view more than once, it's worth capturing.
