Location
This photo was taken on the rooftop of my house, I'd always believe that a great photo does not require a special location.Time
The original idea for this photography was to create a very contrasted portrait with the natural light of the afternoon, and suddenly, while I was taking the photos, I noticed the moon was still very visible in the sky, and the clouds were framing it. So, this photo was took around 1:30 p.m.Lighting
I wanted the light to pop up and for the shadows to be a part of the composition, so the sunlight helped to create this contrast.Equipment
This was shot with my Fujifilm X-T20, 50-230 mm lens and nothing else.Inspiration
I was looking for a soft and dreamy portrait, I had no equipment nor any lights, so I opted for natural light and following my instinct. My sister was my model for the day, I directed the poses so I could construct a compelling composition.Editing
Of course! I enhanced the clouds so they could be more noticeable, I did a lot of color correcting and some smalls corrections on the face.In my camera bag
I always pack my Fujifilm X-T20, depending of what's the idea for the day, I'd pack my 18-50 mm or my 50-230 mm lens. Lately, I have been trying to experiment with artificial light, so now I pack a Neewer SL70 RGB. And of course, SD memories and a extra battery.Feedback
Go to the basics, keep in mind that creativity makes the photographer, not the equipment and not the location.
