I took this photo at Eastwood Metro Park in Dayton, OH. The duck just landed after getting out of the water. I am a self taught photographer, with much more to learn. Trying to specialize in wildlife and scenery.Time
This was taken on May 31, 2020 at roughly 3:30PM. It was a nice sunny day with a slight breeze. We had takin the kids to go swimming. all while seeing birds, geese, ducks and insects. My camera is always at my side no matter where I go.Lighting
There was minimal clouds in the bright, sunny sky.Equipment
For this photo, I used my Nikon D3500 with the 70-300mm lens f4.5-6.3Inspiration
What inspired me to take this photo is just my passion for wildlife and scenery. I love all animals and insects and I do believe they all have their own uniqueness about them.Editing
For this, I processed the image in Lightroom. I adjusted the exposure +0.81, then turned the highlights and whites down 3/4. I lifted the shadow , and darkened the black a smidge. In my camera bag
The only items i have is my Nikon D3500, 18-55mm, 70-300mm and 3 extra batteries and a charger.Feedback
Patience is key, Knowing when to take the photo. If I had was to the photo of the geese instead I would have missed this amazing opportunity. I love the lighting, and being around the water birds.
