Behind The Lens

Location

After weeks of being quarantined, my daughter and I finally went out for a walk at our local park for some fresh air and much needed sunlight.

Time

This quick shot of my daughter Sophie was taken in the late afternoon. The sky was a a beautiful shade of blue and the sun had decided to come out and play after what seemed like endless days of clouds.

Lighting

nothing major, just a picture perfect afternoon.

Equipment

This shot was taken with my Iphone 11

Inspiration

My daughter is well into her tween phase. Spending time with mom is no longer cool and any chance I get to spend with her that doesn't involve eye rolls and 'Mommmm" is a breath of fresh air. This was one of those moments. After weeks indoors, we were able to enjoy the outdoors together and I wanted to capture in the afternoon light. Mission accomplished.

Editing

No major post-processing.

In my camera bag

at this time, all my shots are done on my Apple phone. I do own a Nikon, but have been intimidated to take it out again.

Feedback

So go with your gut. So many of us are just waiting for the perfect shot. I really feel there's so much beauty in the simple things. Instead of waiting for the right shot, just go with your gut.
