That was photo was taken in the studio at Dawson college.Time
It was in a Saturday. We had gone to the studio early. I remember the stylist running late ... so we had to wait for her at least 3-hrs. But we did have a great shoot.Lighting
The lighting was pretty simple for this shoot. One large umbrella with a diffuser. Pretty high. And some white foam core to fill in some of the shadows.Equipment
This was shot on a canon 5dmk3 with a Canon 24-70 mm f2.8 lens.Inspiration
I wanted to do a fashion shoot. My inspiration was a young and casual look. So that’s what I told the stylist. The pose was really spontaneous. I do direct models when I’m shooting. However, this pose just happened and I clicked..Editing
I did do some post processing. Mainly clean the floor. Color adjustments. In my camera bag
My 50mm f1.4 is always in my bag. My 24-70mm too. And sometimes my 100mm f2.8.. I do like some close ups ..,Feedback
I used to really stress out about lighting in studio specially when I first started. Over time I realized that it didn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes one light is enough. Font overthink it. Also, I do tend to direct models a lot. But sometimes when you let them do their thing great things happen. Like it did in this image
