Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in my home town of Minden, La near downtown. It is a composite. Only a part of the background is real. The other half is a digital background that I purchased.Time
This was taken in October around 4 pm in the afternoon. It was cloudy and we were on a shady side street. The weather was much warmer than a typical fall day.Lighting
The lighting was just right for this image but I felt that the black and white effect gave the image more emotion. The original background was a street lined with parked cars, by altering the background I gave the image a more personal feeling and made sure that your eyes immediately focused on the beautiful expectant mother.Equipment
Nikon D5600 with a Nikon 35mm lensInspiration
The wall that the client is leaned against was perfectly lined with the plants and the lighting was just perfect at that moment in that spot.Editing
Yes. I removed part of the background and replaced it with a purchased digital background. I felt the original parked car lined street was distracting from the subject. In my camera bag
Nikon D5600 and kit lenses, Nikon 35mm f/1.8, an ONN electric flash, and a tripod.Feedback
