I shot this photo in Chinatown, NYC, in a small coffee shop with huge windows.Time
I remember shooting this photo around 5pm late afternoon on a cloudy day.Lighting
The model asked me to do something creative while shooting her portraits, so I remember I had fairy light in my bag. She was standing inside the coffee shop and I was shooting outside, shot her though the glass window with some fairy light angle outside and she was hold some inside. That's I got the shotEquipment
This was shot with the Sony a7riii and the lense I used was the f1.8/85mm. Also used fair lights for this shot.Inspiration
The model asked me to do something creative and I have experience with doing creativity portraits. I thought about shooting though a glass window with fairy lights.Editing
Yes, silly me I forgot to change setting on my camera and the photo came under exposed. I edited the photo in Photoshop to brighten it up a bit and sharp her eyes. I didn't change much because I felt it was good enough. In my camera bag
I usually have my a7riii, rotolight neo 2, f1.8/85mm, F4/24-105mm and f2.8/16-35mmFeedback
Anyone can shoot this image with practice. My advice is to start playing around with fairy light and the camera settings. Remember to always create a photo not just shooting it.
