Location
I am a self taught photographer,I learn by visiting bird sanctuary and also visiting wild life reservations.Time
I remember going to the sanctuary at 7am and walking a good distance in the summer to reach my special spot. I had a tripod and waited for the perfect moment to take that picture. It was an excellent morning.Lighting
I wanted this photo to be in action and to draw the viewer a scene in a story.I used a flash to remove the harsh light from the sun. (Fill Flash)Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D700 at 1/8000 sec, ISO-1250 With a 400mm Lens (Center Weighted Average). Tripod and Fill Flash.Inspiration
I was looking for a place to shoot Blue Jay in a quiet remote sanctuary.Editing
I try to use minimum post-processing. But for this instance I corrected the White balance. In my camera bag
I always pack 2 cameras My Nikon D700 and my mighty Canon 1Ds MKIII. For lenses i bring my Canon 600mm 4.5mm and my nikon 400mm f2.8mm.Feedback
For wildlife photography is to have patience and wait for the right time Be patient an it will happen. try to go early in the morning if possible.Be prepared for the diversity of landscape, colors and situations.
