This photo was taken at the Eco Park near my home in Stayner, ON. It's a great little spot to try and capture images of nature and wildlife.Time
I had gone for a walk with a friend of mine in the evening. It was late summer so we wanted to get out after the high heat of the day. This picture was taken just before sunset, before the light disappeared from the shadows of the treeline.Lighting
I love shooting landscape and nature right at the golden hour. It makes the images warm and inviting, and gives them a feel of peacefulness.Equipment
This was a handheld shot on a Canon EOS Rebel T5, with a 75-300mm zoom lens.Inspiration
We had been walking through the park for some time, and had taken probably 100 other photos before this one. When we came out to a clearing and I saw this field of grass and the setting sun casting its golden rays out across it, I knew I had to do a low angle shot through the grass.Editing
I did very little post processing to this image. Most of the work was done in the camera. In my camera bag
I have a handy little sling pack that I take everywhere with me. It always has my Canon T5 in it, a 75-300mm zoom lens, a 18-55mm kit lens, and my 50mm 1.8. I never know what I'm going to shoot, so better to have some options!Feedback
Take advantage of the golden hour. It is truly a magical time of day for photography!!!
