Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at assiniboine provintional park in Canada near the Banff National Park.

Time

I took this photo an hour before sunset.

Lighting

I personally try to get to the best spot around Goldhour and sunsets for the best light.

Equipment

I used a Sony A7 II with a 16-35mm zeiss lens, shot out of the hand so I could adjust my composition fast and smooth.

Inspiration

My girlfriend likes disney and dresses. The main idea was to make a post card for my lil niece a bit like Elsa from frozen.

Editing

I did I try to keep the image close to reality but still try to improve the main attraction by dodge and burn but also by balancing the colors more to my personal liking.

In my camera bag

I have a Sony A7 II with the kit lens 28-70mm and the zeiss 16-35mm. A me foto backpackers tripod. A mavic pro and a surface pro for proccesing during long trips.

Feedback

It always hard to get locations that realy amaze in my opinion or places that had so many pictures anyone knows them and any composition. I like to try new things but traveling brings you mostly to famouse places. Thats why harder to reach locations are my favourites. The trick to images like this is mostly also the girl and the clothes. Clothes have such an influence on an image. Next to that a multi range of different collors helps to keep intrest in an image, but keep them real our brain dislikes things that do not fit in reallity. While saying that we can push it quite far untill it get to much. But then again taste changes per person.
