Behind The Lens

Location

Taken in Odessa, Ukraine at an old vacant mansion previously owned by a relative of my photography mentor and friend Andrey Stanko.

Time

Taken mid afternoon.

Lighting

Taken with an off camera flash to reduce the harshness of the afternoon sun light.

Equipment

Nikon 810 Nikon 85mm Pro-Foto B1 flash

Inspiration

The shot was quite spontaneous as one of a series of a walkabout dance shoot around the street of Odessa. Credit to model / dancerAlexandra Belimenko whose natural performance made the shot simpler to compose.

Editing

Post in Photoshop to smooth out tones reduce harsher edges.
