Location
This Photo was taken in Darmstadt, Germany, while i worked there for about 7 years. It was just a little Mobile-Studio in the Attic of a Friends House. I have this little Studio always in the trunk. So I can also do spontaneous home shootings anywhere.Time
It was taken at the early evening - but in a windowsless Room in the Attic. This Shooting starts at about 10:00 AM and was finished at about 00:00! :)Lighting
I used 2 small Striplight with Flashes on the right and left side. Both are 300W Powered. The Background was black Textile/Fabric with no Reflections. 6 meters by 3 meters. The Flashlights were about 1.5 meters away.Equipment
Canon EOS 5D Mark II Tamron AF 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di VC LD Aspherical [IF] Macro 55mm ƒ/13 1/160s ISO 100 2 Flashlights with Striplights (300W) Shoot out of HandInspiration
I like the old, classic Nude Pictures. That inspired me to a lot of my Photos. On the other hand, my Model/Muse was very creativ and dont want to make Standard-Nude-Photos. So we created a Set from about 300 Photos in this kind. A Shooting is always a part of 2 (!) Persons!Editing
Just a little bit of Photoshop to clean the Skin.In my camera bag
A Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, a EOS 5D Mark II (as Backup), the Canon EF 70-200mm 2.8 L IS USM II, the Canon EF 100mm 2.8 Macro L IS USM, the Canon EF 50mm 1.2. Outdoors i use ONLY the existing natural light. For Shootings i have a middlesize Studio in my Flat in Berlin. 6 Flashes, about 10 different Backgrounds, 4 Day-Lights, and 10 different Lenses.Feedback
Try to find a model who is as creative as you are! Give her Ideas a Chance! Take time and make a relaxed Shooting. Dont try to make it to fast. Always make a Mix of Photos you will do and your Model will do (50:50). Use Striplights or other Softboxes for warm lights. Look for example nude photos from the time photography started. Look for Helmut Newton, Man Ray etc.
