The advice that’d I’d give is make sure you are taking a picture that tells a story something that captures your imagination, a object, a area or people that really gives emotion and uniqueness. I find when taking a macro picture if you do not own a macro lense, close up mode on your camera will do just as good of a job. Insure your focus is right and lighting is key! Also if you can enhance your saturation to give it some character.
