I love this picture. Nothing like seeing a St. Bernard in it's element. Beautiful capture.

Location
This photo was taken in our backyard in North Dakota. Brandi, being a St. Bernard, was itching to get out for the first snow. So out she went.Time
This was late morning/early afternoon. I remember the lighting was just perfect, so grabbed my camera. Brandi was looking especially gorgeous that day.Lighting
I thought the natural light highlighted Brandi's eyes and coloring so perfectly. The contrast of the snow glistening in the sun added interest to the picture.Equipment
Since I had my Sony 70-400 G SSM II lens on my Sony A77II camera, that's what I grabbed. Glad I did cause the picture of Brandi is fantastic.Inspiration
As I was watching my dog playing outside, I noticed the play of light on her fur and the contrast of the snow and her fur. Couldn't resist, had to go out and play too.Editing
Basically did cropping on this photo. In my camera bag
I usually have my Sony A77 camera with the Sony 70-400 SSM II lens close at hand. Also keep my Sony a5000 with a wide angle, Sigma 16mm 1:1.4 DC DN lens, these 2 are pretty much all I need in the field. Cleaning supplies, batteries and lots of cards pretty much sums it up.Feedback
First, rescue a St. Bernard..and then wait for Mother Nature to give you the perfect picture.
