Location
The photo was shot in a rented studio in Oslo, NorwayTime
This was taken inside in a studio and the light is from one single studio flash units withLighting
The studio was set up with black background and we used only one single studio flash unit with a softbox.Equipment
This image was shot using my Canon EOS 5 Mk III. Handheld. Flash as mentioned above.Inspiration
After a nude art photography workshop it was time to do some more shooting in this genre. 3 of the workshop photographers agreed to do a model share and got an agreement with this model: Sabi. We then agreed on which setups to shoot and took turns to photograph her. In my opinion this was a good arrangement that worked well for all of us.Editing
There was a little post processing to be done in Lightroom As always basic adjustments has to be done in order for the image to pop out the way you want. Some areas has been darkened in order to remove light spill on the background. Conversion to black and white was done by using Silver Effex Pro 2In my camera bag
For a studio shoot I allways being the 85mm prime lens. This is my preferred lens for studio shoots. In this studio however, I also used my 50mm prime lens due to distance restrictions. The 50mm is my second choice. I also always bring my 24-70mm to be able to do some quick changes without having to mode so much.Feedback
Be very careful when setting up the light and placing the model. Just minor movements of the model will give a very different result. Spend time getting the model into the correct position. In this studio there was also a mirror behind the photographer, helping the model to see the light on her body. This was very helpful as she could correct her position just by looking in the mirror.
