Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a studio with professional lighting.

Time

This was taken in the morning. The model was well rested and very fun to shoot

Lighting

I was practising lighting and with the help of an expert photographer, came to this setup with the key light above the model in front and a fill light strip on the floor in front of the model.

Equipment

This was shot using a medium format Pentax 645Z camera with a D-FA55mm f/2.8 lens.

Inspiration

This was a lingerie shoot and we started experimenting with props. The faux-fur coat draped over the model’s shoulders allowed us to get enough contrast.

Editing

I converted the photo to black and white to highlight the contrast between the light and dark tones.

In my camera bag

My bag always has my 55mm f/2.8, 75mm f2.8 and 200mm f4 I sometimes also carry the Arsat 30mm for Pentacon for landscapes

Feedback

Work with the model, especially if she is a professional one. They have done a lot of work and will be able to suggest what would work with accessories and poses. Communication is key if you want to achieve your idea
