Location
I shot this photo at a favorite spot that my family and I love getting away to for the weekend. It is a beautiful place to camp, swim, fish and be near nature.Time
I took this photo early one spring morning, 5/2/15 at 6:39 amLighting
This was taken in the early morning just before sunrise. I did not use any special lighting of my own, only the natural lighting that was already present.Equipment
This was shot on the Canon EOS REBEL T3 at 75 mm with the 75-300 mm lens. No flash or any other equipment used.Inspiration
As I was taking my early morning walk, looking for photo opts of coarse, I noticed this man sitting in a boat on the lake. I remember everything was quiet and peaceful. Right away I knew it was a moment I had to capture. I imagined myself being there in his place. How relaxing it must have been. I believe that the fog enhanced the scene giving it a more tranquil mood.Editing
This was one of those photos I had overlooked while going through my camera card. It wasn't until almost a year later that I discovered it. I remember thinking to myself, "Wow!, how did I miss this?" "I love this just like it is, without the need of any editing". So the only thing that i did to it in the photo editing software was to just add my name to it.In my camera bag
I never leave the house without my Canon EOS REBEL T3, the 18-55mm, 75-300mm, and the 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens Lenses. I just began doing some freelance real estate photography and the wide angle lens has been perfect for it.Feedback
If you want to capture a photo like this, just watch the weather for any upcoming foggy mornings, choose your location ahead of time and then get there as early as possible and wait. Focal length 75 mm, ISO - 100 Exposure 1/160 sec.
