A cool October morning and a glass like reflection on the moat that surrounds the medieval 14th century ruin of Scotney Castle near Lamberhurst in the Kent countryside, England. Early English records dating from 1137 give the owner of the estate as Lambert de Scoteni. A Mr Roger Ashburnham is credited with building the castle which dates from about 1378-80.
