Location

The picture was taken in Dubai, UAE from the rooftop of Shangri La Hotel.

Time

The image was shot from the rooftop of Shangri La hotel rooftop in Dubai, one of the evenings in the end of the winter season i granted a permission to access the rooftop and set up my tripod on the edge of the rooftop, struggled a bit to get the tripod balanced and in place. The image was captured at 9.35pm Dubai time.

Lighting

All the light in the picture is artificial light from street lamps and buildings and there were no exterior lamps added or spotted through me.

Equipment

This was shot with Nikon D750 - Nikkor 14-24mm. Benro Tripod and Nikon Shutter trigger.

Inspiration

I love cityscape photography in general and in this particular image i was searching for new angle to shoot the City of Dubai one of the most shot cities on the planet, by ignoring the Burj Khalifah and actually for vertigo points and angles.

Editing

Yes, this image is created of 2 exposures blended digitally using Adobe Photoshop, one exposure for the shadows and one for the highlights.

In my camera bag

I most of the time use my camera and 3 lenses, Nikkor 14-24mm, 24-70mm and the fisheye Sigma 15mm.

Feedback

In order to capture such images you need to be very persistent and patient, Persistent to face the challenges that you face throughout the process of taking the picture and be patient during doing that.
